Research Areas
Fluoroorganic area is diversified to develop technologies for fluorinated drug intermediates, fluoromonomers, fluoropolymers etc. Division also established new facility for generation of elemental fluorine to perform perfluorination reactions. It has also developed expertise in designing research schemes for doctoral and post doctoral students with main focus on synthesis of fluorinated molecules and biological evaluation in order to identify potential molecules as drugs. Lab scale technologies available on desk include Trifluoroethanol, Trifluoroacetic acid, 2,4-Dichlorofluorobenzene, CFC-113a, Chlorotrifluoroethylene, Vinylidene fluoride.
